Sao Paulo, 11 January 2015
Last 20 December 2014, a large retrospective on Salvador Dalí closed in Brazil with 1.5 milion visitors. It could be seen from May to September at the Banco do Brasil in Rio de Janeiro, where it received 978,000 visitors and at the Instituto Tomie Ohtake in Sao Paulo, from October to January 2015, where 530,000 people paid it a visit. It was the largest exhibition on Dalí in Latin America ever and was the result of the good relationship between the three biggest collections of his work: the Salvador Dalí Museum in Florida, the Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid and the Dalí Foundation in Figueres, his birth town.
