The rhinoceros
The monstrous forms of this animal held a deep fascination for Dalí, who theorized about the logarithmic perfection of the curve of its nose horn and applied it to some of his creations.
-
Elephants of the air
These appear more than once in the Dalinian iconography: at Púbol, bearing the house's heraldic raven. The weightiness of the elephant and the oscillating lightness of the stork have reached harmony with each other in these beings which walk on and on tireless.

The swan
Just as Zeus did in order to get to Leda, Dalí goes to Gala transformed into a swan. Time, light, figures, landscape - all is halted and suspended in the unreality of a marvelous painting.

Through the camel
