The broadcasting group Radio Televisión Española (RTVE) was the second member to join the Dalí Year Promotion Committee. The protocol was signed at the Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres by the chairman of the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation, Ramon Boixadós, and the general manager of RTVE, José Antonio Sánchez, accompanied by the co-ordinator of the Dalí Year, Montse Aguer, and the director of RTVE in Catalonia, Ramon Font.
The collaboration will mainly involve dissemination of Salvador Dalí’s life and work through the broadcasting of 500 audiovisual items from the RTVE archives and of the events to be organised next year for celebration of the centenary of the Figueres artist’s birth.
The various RTVE stations will allow the materials to be shown in Catalonia, Spain and internationally. Under the agreement, the state broadcasting company will be collaborating in the Dalí Year through news programmes, its scheduled programming and various special reports.
