The Prince and Princess of Asturias presided over the second edition of the GCB Awards for business tourism, which this year recognised the work done by the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation. The award sets out to acknowledge the promotion and innovation work of companies dedicated to tourism and which, through their individual efforts and enterprise, have helped to boost economic activity and make the Girona region known by attracting business tourism. The award was collected by Antoni Pitxot in the course of the Fourth Night of the Girona Convention Bureau, which was held in Peralada and coincided with the 19th Castell de Peralada Festival.
Girona Chamber of Commerce engages in all kinds of activities that help to boost, strengthen and stimulate the tourism sector. Set up in 1991, Girona Convention Bureau has become the guiding strand for disseminating business tourism in the Girona region.
