This initiative is set within the context of a programme of activities related with Salvador Dalí and his three museums directed at Clubs Sant Jordi.
Clubs Sant Jordi wished to render homage to Salvador Dalí through the annual photographic competition, held this year under the title “Dalí World”. The area beneath the dome of the Dalí Theatre-Museum was the scenario for awarding of the four prizes by Antoni Pitxot, Director of the Museum, Montse Aguer, Director of the Centre for Dalinian Studies, and Josep Solans, Managing Director of the Viure i Conviure Foundation. The event was also attended by the Managing Director of the Dalí Foundation, Joan Manuel Sevillano, and the Head of Caixa Catalunya’s Clubs Sant Jordi, Jordi Virgili.
The first prize went to Francesc Oliver i Planell, and consists in a journey for two people to Miami (Orlando) and Saint Petersburg (Florida); the second prize, a journey for two people to Rotterdam (Holland), was awarded to Francesc Miralles i Paré; the third prize, a two-person stay in the Empordà region, went to Josep Anton Martí i Talavera; and finally, the special prize, a stay in Portlligat, also for two people, was awarded to Vicent Solé i Barios.
