Joan Manuel Sevillano received the “Don Quixote” award, as a recognition for the task he develops as Managing Director of the Dalí Foundation, promoting understanding between countries through culture.
It’s a recent iniciative led by the Russian públic Foundation “Russian Performance Art” with the collaboration of the Spanish Embassy in Russia.
The awarded and categories are:
Evgeny Primakov, ex-minister of Foreign Affairs and ex-prime Minister of Russia, for international political management.
Viktor Kaslin, president of the Russian Classical Music Friends League, for its charitable activity in the fields of culture and science.
Vladimir Zeldin, actor, for his internacional cultural activity.
Joan Manuel Sevillano Campalans, Managing Director of the Dalí Foundation, in the category of international culture management.
The cerimony took place in the Spanish Embassy in Moscow, with the assistance of Russian diplomats, political and cultural personalities. The award is a replica of the Quixote famous sculpture by J-L. Gauthier of late XIXth century.
