The Acústica Festival presented on 10 June at the Dalí Theatre-Museum the special production that is to commemorate its 10th anniversary. The event was led by journalist Manel Fuentes, while Montse Aguer, Director of the Centre for Dalinian Studies, the Directors of the show, Xavi Pascual and Pep Blay, and various other personalities also took part. A performance by the singer Gerard Quintana brought the celebration to a close.
The show is called SALVADOR DALÍ SINGS and will be staged on 2 and 3 September in the Gala Dalí Square in Figueres. The show will include performances by Albert Pla, Pau Riba, Gerard Quintana, Dolo Beltrán, Love of Lesbian, Estrella Morente, Amaral, Ana Torroja, Martirio, Kiko Veneno, Enric Casasses and Sol Picó, who will “dance” the voice of Dalí. The Pascal Comelade band will be playing the music live. The singers will perform texts by Salvador Dalí ceded by the artist’s Foundation. The show will be rounded off with videos of Amanda Lear and Alice Cooper.
The audience will be limited to 600 persons for each of the days, 2 and 3 September, and tickets are now on sale from ServiCaixa (ATM terminals and website).
