Lluís Peñuelas, General Secretary of the Dalí Foundation, collected the Timó d’Or (“Gold Rudder”) prize from the hands of Josep M. Casellas at the 24th edition of the Costa Brava Centre Union of Hotel and Tourism Companies’ annual celebration. The price was awarded for the Foundation’s contribution to the tourist destination’s cultural content in the form of the three Dalí museums and the programme of activities to commemorate the centennial of Salvador Dalí’s birth.
The Timó d’Argent (“Silver Rudder”) awards went to Angelo Corvitto for his contribution to gastronomy, to the tour operator Inntravel, to Hostal Barnés for its professional career and to the La Riera restaurant in Sant Martí Vell. The Cooperative 2004 award went to Seremex. Finally, tourism-quality diplomas were awarded to the Parador d’Aiguablava inn, to Silken Park Hotel San Jorge in Platja d’Aro, to Hotel Terramar in Llafranc, to Hotel La Perla in Olot and to Hotel La Costa in Pals.
