Dalí enables us to appreciate, in some of his illustrations with the intention of being the final work, as if we were before a Leonardo da Vinci, his command of this artistic technique. Dalí placed special emphasis on the winged boots in the form of jewels of the character, reminding us of his jewellery design. If his drawing has a Leonardo-like expression, the details recall Benvenuto Cellini. This illustration was used as the model for the engraving of the glass cup titled The Dream of Nautilus. The central character is, at the same time, a vessel driven by the wind in full sail. The two large spheres, legs in movement, attract our attention. The two centaurs give the group both gesticulating characters. On the left, a feminine character leaning on a pole has the attitude of Angelica or perhaps Saint Sebastian.
