Observations
We have entitled this work Plage enchantée in the belief that this is the picture Dalí presented as number 47 in the exhibition at the Galerie Beaux-Arts in Paris in January-February 1938. During World War II, this work was seized by the German army during the Occupation and stored in the 'salle des martyrs' in the Jeu de Paume museum in Paris between 1940 and1944.
