This sculpture is one of the works in what is known as the Clot collection. Between 1973 and 1975 Dali signed a series of contracts with Isidro Clot Fuentes for the creation of a series of wax models to be used for the production of editions. Most of these models were subsequently produced in multiple editions running to more than 12 casts each, with different dimensions and materials, for instance this cast, on permanent exhibition at the Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres.
