Observations
Although this work is signed and dated 1972, Dalí gave it the finishing touches in the course of the talk he gave at the Prado Museum in Madrid entitled "Velázquez and Me", on May 29, 1973, in the presence of the model, Carmen Martínez-Bordiú.
