Observations
According to the testimony of Antoni Pitxot, Dalí drew inspiration from the Italian painter Luca Cambiaso (1527-1585) for the painting of the figures and characters we see in the dome of the Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres (image 2). Dalí spoke of this group as a "Parade of giants with victorious angels", according to reports in the press of the time ("Salvador Dalí dona más obras a su museo de Figueras", Los Sitios, July 24, 1977, or "Nueva donación de Dalí", Ampurdán, July 27, 1977, Figueres).
