Observations
Although this work is signed and dated 1934, the iconographic elements correspond to those of paintings from 1943. It is for this reason that we have it the later date. What is more, it was used by Esquire magazine to illustrate the article "Three Christmas Allegories (designed and painted by Salvador Dalí)" in December 1943.
